Uyen Phuong Dang is a writer living between Da Lat and New Haven. She is a former program coordinator for the Saigon-based arts collective Sàn Art (2022-2024), a Fulbright recipient (2022), a Tin House Scholar (2024), and is currently an editorial intern for the American Ethnological Society. Her short stories have appeared in Black Warrior Review, CRAFT, The Cincinnati Review, and elsewhere.
She holds a BA in Anthropology with High Honors from Dartmouth College, where she received the Mary E. Wesbrook Thesis Prize in Anthropology. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in Sociocultural Anthropology at Yale University and studying architectures of rest in highland Vietnam through flowers, stories, and spatial poetics.
She is also at work on a speculative poetry collection.
